This guide will present in detail why family rafting on the Soča River is the perfect choice for your next vacation, how the activity is carried out, what it includes, who it is intended for and why it is one of the most sought-after family activities in Slovenia.
In a time when we are often accompanied by phones, screens and the fast pace of life, rafting offers an opportunity for real bonding. You paddle together, laugh together, overcome rapids together and create memories together that will last forever.
Family rafting is adapted for children, beginners and non-swimmers. It is an easier, more relaxed version of rafting, where the emphasis is on safety, fun and enjoyment of nature, in other words panoramic rafting. Experienced guides provide clear instructions, appropriate equipment and a safe implementation of the entire tour.
The Soča River is considered one of the most beautiful rivers in Europe. Its turquoise color, clear water and spectacular Alpine scenery create a fairy-tale environment for a family experience.
Slovenia is known for its diverse nature, but Bovec stands out as a center for water activities. The most popular sections of the Soča River are located here, which allow for a safe and fun rafting experience even for children.
Bovec offers:
Excellent organization of activities
Therefore, it is not surprising that family rafting is one of the most sought-after activities in Bovec.
Upon arrival, you first complete all the paperwork, and then a friendly team awaits you, who will first present the course of the activity to you.
Next comes the collection of equipment: Helmet, life jacket, neoprene suit, neoprene boots.
And transportation to the entry point for rafting on the Soča River.
Before starting, the guide will explain everything necessary for your and the children's safety on the water.
How to swim in the river, how to paddle… Everything is adapted so that everyone understands.
This is followed by approximately 1.5 hours of fun sailing along the calm parts of the Soča River with a few small rapids. The guide takes care of safety and entertainment. Swimming or jumping into the water is also included.
After the activity, you change into your dry clothes and we bring you back to our meeting point, where the guide will also send you photos so you can relive the experience.
